The Pay Gap Is Not as Bad as You (and Sheryl Sandberg) Think
“…[A]bsent all explanatory variables, even including a graduate’s GPA and how selective their school was and how long they were unemployed after graduation, the women made 93% of what the men were making. In other words, 93 cents to the man’s dollar. Not 77 cents. Not 81 cents. Ninety-three cents.” Continue reading
Obama’s Missed Opportunity: A White House Council on Boys and Men
“Fortunately, our daughters’ and mothers’ health challenges are addressed by seven federal offices of women’s health. Our sons’ and fathers’ are not addressed by a single federal office of men’s health” — this despite the fact that men’s health in general is poorer, resulting in men on average having a shorter life span than women and dying sooner from nine of the ten leading causes of death. Continue reading

Weaponizing the well-being of women
Obama playing Santa to women: “His polling numbers make clear that winning a majority of men’s votes will be a challenge. So the president is trying to keep women — who deserted his party in large numbers in 2010 — on board by fear-mongering on ‘women’s issues’….” Continue reading
Obama Revives an Old Feminist Myth
“Logic tells us that by repeating his embarrassingly shallow remarks on pay discrimination, Obama is simply performing the same three-act drama that he has performed countless times before—first as a community organizer and then as a politician.” Continue reading

Two takes on Obamacare’s discrimination against men
President Obama wants to spread the health around — but only to women. Improving the health only of the healthier, longer-living group — women — is like improving the wages only of the higher-earning group — men. What would women say about the latter? The same thing men should say about the former. Continue reading

Women’s advocates wrong about why more women die of heart disease than men
Even at very old ages, men die of heart disease at a higher rate than women. At age 85 and above, although more females than males succumbed to the disease in 2003, 5,621 males died per 100,000 population vs. 5,126 females. Continue reading →
